Corinthians - Botafogo 12.07.2012

Corinthians did a history by winning Copa Libertadores. The key players were awarded as they rested in the last match at weekend. They played with almost second team against Recife

but they will play with the best squad against Botafogo first time this season as they have no worries of Libertadores or something else. That is for sure the fans are excited to cheer Corinthians and they will full the stadium. On the other hand the transfer season is beginning in Brazil and all the teams are going to change with their structure. Willian Metalist left Corinthians already. Paulinho is on the way to AC Milan. Forwarder Alex will travel to Katar for negotiations. Defender Leandro agreed with Roma. Left back Ramon will play for Flamengo. Ramirez and Gilsinho are others who will leave the club. And there are some rumors that Emerson will be transferred to a Chineese team as well. There will be so many changes in the near future. Bad  news is Fabio Santos, Jorge Henrique Jorge Henrique de Souza and Emerson Sheik are injured and doubtful.

Botafogo played good against Bahia at the weekend much more than what I expected. In the first half of the match they managed to control the game and stopped Bahia. 19 years old Cidinho did a great job in the first half by scoring 2 goals first with a header and the second with a shoot. After loosing their important strikers Cidinho will be able to prove himself and a new star may born. Bahia could not motivate after conceding the final goal by Oliveira and match ended 3-0. Bad news for Botafogo is as I mentioned they lost their strikers. Herrera (5 matches 4 goals), Maicosuel and striker Abreu left the club. But good news is the new signing of Seedorf from AC Milan.

The celebrations are finished in Corinthians side and they do not go for rotation anymore. They should react in league matches as they are down below at the league table. And their squad is more than enough to achieve this. Botafogo lost their scorers and now they are at away match against Corinthians who need consecutive wins. I believe the bookmakers underestimated this event as the odds are generous to me. Bet on home team.
