Veikkausliiga leaders Inter Turku have got a great chance to extend their lead at the top to five points, and the good thing is they are playing Mariehamn, a team that are winless in last four games.
Inter Turku have been on the constant uptrend over the last few years and they seem to be slowly becoming serious title contenders. After finishing some 20 odd points behind champions Helsinki last term, the team are doing much better this season and they are now leading the title race, sitting two points ahead of their rivals, with a game in hand. The 1-1 away draw against Twente in Europa League proved how much the team have gone over the last few years and even though they were heavily beaten in the return leg, they can definitely take heart from decent showing against their more illustrious opponents. After winning their last three league games by scoring no less than 11 goals, Inter look a good bet against out-of-form Mariehamn.
Match: Inter Turku - Mariehamn 17.30h
League: Finland Veikkausliiga
Our prediction: Home Win Odds: 1.65
IFK Mariehamn finished last league campaign in 7th place, exactly 19 points behind their next opponents, but the team have been showing a lot of improvement this term. Up until few weeks ago, they were even actively in the title race, but the latest poor run of results showed that Mariehamn don't have enough quality to remain near the top for much longer. Despite only facing teams outside the top 4 in the past four rounds, Mariehamn could only take three points from those matches and taking that into account, they cannot be trusted to stop high-flying Inter Turku from winning this game. While beating unbeaten at home, they have already lost four away games this season, and the poor trend looks likely to continue.
