Monaco – Nimes 14.12.2012

I expect a strong reaction from Monaco players. The situation is very tense after the last two matches. First, Monaco was eliminated from the national cup from third division Bourg Peronnas.

Right after that, the team from the Principality heavily lost 0:3 from Caen in the previous round. The coach Claudio Ranieri is under big pressure at the moment, just as the players. One thing is clear, all of them have to give the maximum on this match.

On contrary, the situation in Nimes squad is almost perfect. They are in mini-series of two consecutive victories. First they won against Tarbes in the national cup, then won against Chateauroux in the league. Nimes players have scored seven goals on the mentioned two games. Gragnic and Benezet were scorers against Chateauroux, while Seydou Kone scored a hat-trick against Tarbes. The remaining two goals on that match were scored by Bouby and Robail. I am sure the players confidence are very high at the moment.

The additional reason for my pick is connect with the absentees. Monaco first-choice goalkeeper Danijel Subasic is suspended after received a red card on the previos match. I think this is a big handicap for Ranieri team. Additionally, Sebastian Ribas is sidelined due to injury, while Delvin Ndinga and Layvin Kurzawa are both rated as doubtful. Nimes is also without some players as Habib-Jean Balde, Vincent Carlier and Emmanuel Correze are out injured.  Considering the previously mentioned facts, I expect Over 2.5 goals here.
