PSG – Lorient 11.08.2012

The PSG fans are just waiting to see the new project.

No doubt the ‘Parc des Princes’ will be full and no doubt PSG is big favorite on this match. After all, they are favorites for the title. However, I think we will see an interesting and efficient match. I expect at least three goals.
The key reason for my pick is PSG. As You probably know, they spent enormous amount of money for new players. The new acquisitions are top stars like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Thiago Silva (he is still with Brazilian national team in London on Olympic Games). It is clear the fans are dreaming about the title and everything less will be like a catastrophe. So, I expect PSG strongly to attack the opponent from the very first whistle. I already mentioned Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi, but don’t forget Nene, the team top goalscorer from the last season. He scored 27 goals last season, more than any other player in France. Pastore is also an extraordinary player.

It is important to be mentioned that PSG scored and conceded goals on every match during the preparation period. In the last match they played 2:2 against Barcelona, before that 1:1 with Chelsea and 2:2 with CSKA Moscow. I think it is normal as the players are still not too familiar and they need some time.
