Following a 2:1 victory against Zenit, Rubin Kazan will be aiming to continue their winning run
when they square off against Terek Grozny on the road. Nevertheless, this clash will be everything but a walk in the park for Kurban Berdyevˈs men.
Over the years Terek Grozny have established themselves as one of the mid table sides in the Russian Premier League. The team have been producing brilliant performances at home soil, they are almost unbeaten Akhmat-Khadi Kadyrova stadium, but the team have been struggling on the road. This season the Chechens have continued their habit of playing poor on the travels as they kicked-off the new campaign with a 2:1 defeat to Rostov. In the second round Terek Grozny shared the spoils with Amkar Perm, although they were leading 1:0 at half time break. Coach Yury Krasnozhan is likely to adopt a defense-minded approach against Rubin Kazan, but I am not sure whether the Chechens are capable of keeping a clean sheet against the in-form Tatars. A man to watch in the home side will be Brazilian striker Ailton Almeida who netted a goal against Rostov two weeks ago.

Having eliminated Jagodina from the Europa League qualifiers, Rubin Kazan travel to Grozny to take on Terek, one of the best hosts in the Russian Premier League. The Tatars did remarkably well on the weekend to overcome a one goal deficit in a derby against Zenit. Striker Salomon Rondon of Venezuela found the net in the 95th minute to help his team pick up first three points of the new campaign. Rubin Kazan are on the verge of signing striker Pavel Pogrebnyak who is keen to cancel his Reding contract and return to Russia. The Tatars visit Terek Grozny full of confidence and with one of the key players Alexander Ryazantsev back to the squad and with new signing Yann MVill having found the right form, I believe that the team are likely to pick up al three points from this clash. Rubin Kazan have not lost in Grozny in last five occasions, therefore, I am tempted to back Kurban Berdyevˈs side to record their second victory of the new campaign.
