Augsburg – Bayern Munich 08.12.2012

Bayern is big favorite against joint-bottom placed Augsburg. Still, the odds for away victory are too low and I will suggest something else – Over 2.5 goals.

The main reason for my pick is connect with the hosts. They have scored and conceded goals on every of the last five matches. Even more, three of them have ended with Over 2.5 goals.

Bayern Munich is on the top of the Bundesliga, with eight points advantage. Even more, they have massive eleven points more then the biggest rival Borussia Dortmund. The coach Jupp Heynckes can be satisfied with the team-performances so far. He rest most of his first team players in the match against BATE Borisov in UEFA Champions League during the midweek. Still, Bayern won 4:1 and secured the first place in the group F. For this match he will be missing the injured Holger Badstuber (ruled out for longer period due to a cruciate knee ligament tear), but I am sure this is not a problem as Bayern have very big roster. In the attack Heynckes has sweet problem to choose between two Marios – Gomez or Mandzukic.

I expect at least three goals on this match. Augsburg have scored on every of the last five matches, including the match against Borussia Dortmund. It is not impossible to score against Bayern, too. But even if that don’t happen, I believe Bayern players are able to score three goals only by themself.
At the end I will mention that both mutual games last season finished with Over 2.5 goals so I expect an efficient match at SGL Arena.
