Well maybe Bate Borisov on paper should be favourite but Vardar are very difficult team to play against them , actually they were the best defence in the league last season
I understand that Bate Borisov is one of the best Eastern European sides , with a lot of Europe experience but honesty I am sure that they won’t attack from the begining because Vardar could easily surprise. Also the atmosphere in Bate’s team isn’t on good level because of the last 3 games won only 2 points and on the last 3 home games they won only 1 point 2 of the last 3 games they lost so I really do not see good atmosphere in the team , talso because of preparation for Olympic Games Bate is going to be without best standard middfielders the brasilian Renan Bardini Bressan and Dmitri Baga both this season scored 9 goals , they are important and I really see big advantage for Vardar to control the middfield row and to stop the balls to the experienced Mozolevski , Kontsevoy and Rodionov in the attack .
I see advantage for Vardar also because Vardar’s manager knows very well the team of Bate because 3 years ago Vardar’s manager led Macedonia Gjorche Petrov against them and there aren’t big difference as 3 years ago , also Bate bought some new players that could surprise the home team , especially I have to mention the spanish striker Jorge Jimenez. But I am sure that Vardar on this hard game will play with big caution , they need positive result here and at home in front of 35.000 loyal supporters Komiti is going to be easier , everything but the lost is going to be very good result for them. So to sum up Bate without important middfielders so not so attractive football from them and do not expect goals , on the other side Vardar probably will play defensive because they still want to be part of the European dream so under goals is the best option ,
I do not expect more than 2 goals but I take the safe option which is going to voided if there are exactly 3 goals what I do not believe but this is football and everything is possbile.
