Celtic – Inter 28.07.2012

Celtic will face Inter in their last game of the pre season, having to play their official game of the season next week against Helsinki in the Qualifying stage of Champions League.

They’ve had a dreadful preparation campaign, losing most of their games and, most of all, looking very bad in all of them. Lately, they were trashed by Ajax and lost to Norwich, after being able to win only against Aalen in their German stage.

Inter started the preparations a bit later than Celtic and have played 2 friendly games so far: a 2-0 win against Koper and a 3-2 win against Como, playing also in the TIM Trophy against Milan and Juve. Coach Stramaccioni has quite a strong team for this game, including important names like Chivu, Nagatomo, Zanetti, Ranocchia, Sneijder, Cambiasso, Palacio or Milito. There are also many promising youngsters in the squad but, over all, they should be too much for Celtic. This will be the perfect test for them before the EL clash against Hajduk next week.

After what Celtic showed this summer, it is hard to believe they will record anything else but a loss today. Inter is the better side and I am willing to back them at the odds.
