Chievo are the worst side in Serie A.
They are at the bottom of the table with only five points so far. Their home form is awful – four defeats on the five matches at Bentegodi.
The coach Giuseppe Sannino is under big pressure, as well as the players. The atmosphere in the squad is bad and the players’ confidence are low. I expect Chievo problems to continue.
Milan, meanwhile, are on the 11th place with only 12 points. The fans are frustrated as their team are 19 points behind the leader Roma. They were hoping about the title, but it is clear Milan have no realistic chance to be involved in the race for Scudetto. The coach Massimiliano Alegri is under enormous pressure. It is true he has number of injured players (Marco Amelia, Mattia De Sciglio, Cristian Zaccardo, Antonio Nocerino, Matias Silvestre, Stephan El Shaarawy, Daniele Bonera, Giampaolo Pazzini), but that’s not an excuse.
Milan have to start with the victories as soon as possible, everything else is a catastrophe. Mario Balotelli will miss the match through suspension, so Alessandro Matri will lead the attack. I expect goals from him.
Milan are superior against Chievo and have maximal effect in the previous six season. Milan have 13 victories on the previous 13 mutual games. Both teams are in deep crisis, but I believe Milan are closer to the victory. The quality is on their side.
