Croatia – Spain 18.06.2012

On the match against Italy, Croatia had a good chance to pass the next round and now there is a result that everyone’s talking.

Draw 2:2 or any other unsolved efficient outcome will lead Spain and Croatia in the quarter-finals. Yet this is the European Championship and I don’t think thet it will be setup. The Croats played well against Italy. Mandzukic, Modric, Rakitic and Jelavic showed a lot of creativity in attack, and no doubt they will also score a goal against Spain (or two?).

As well as Croatia coach Bilic, Vicente del Bosque has dismissed speculation that the game will be played with honor and not adjusted to 2:2. Their goal is to defend the title, not to fix a match. I expect that del Bosque and this match will start with Torres in attack so we can expect goals.

This is a duel of two teams that have plenty of options in attack and the game where both teams have a motive to score many goals, because any effective draw can take them in the quarter-final. I think the odds on over 2.5 are too good to miss.
