Juventus – Milan 21.04.2013

Juventus are on the top of Serie A with 74 points, eleven more then second placed Napoli.

The fans are already celebrating the title, but the coach Antonio Conte is refusing to let up until the mathematics support the Bianconeri’s cause.

And I believe he is serious. He always managed to find motivation and that is why Juventus is so superior in Seria A. The actual champions are in series of five consecutive league victories.

There is a positive news for Conte as the danish striker Nicklas Bendtner has recovered from injury. Still, Sebastian Giovinco remains sidelined alongside Nicolas Anelka and Simone Pepe. Giorgio Chiellini is rated as doubtful.

Milan are currently third, four points behind second placed Napoli. The last weekend’s 1:1 draw exactly against Napoli was a big disappointment for everybody. It will be very hard for Milan to reach the last automatic UEFA Champions League position, particularly because they must wait for Napoli mistakes in the remaining six rounds. The coach Massimiliano Allegri has some additional problems – the striker Mario Balotelli and midfielder Mathieu Flamini are suspended, while Nigel De Jong is out injured. Ignazio Abate, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Massimo Ambrosini and Bojan Krkic have shaken off injury concerns, but only Ambrosini is close to the starting eleven.

Juventus is better when the mutual games in Torino are in question. The Old Lady have 36 victories, while Milan have returned home with maximum points on 21 occasions. Juventus also won the last fixture, with two late goals by Claudio Marchisio (it was 2:0 on 02.10.2011).
