Monaco – Clermont 22.04.2013
Monaco is the best team in League Two.
At the moment they are on the first place, with four points advantage to the second placed Nantes. The coach Claudio Ranieri is doing an excellent job and the fans are satisfied. Most probably Monaco fans will see top football next season. However, the club ambitions are even higher. The Russian owner intend to spend additional money to bring new acquisitions. Believe or not, this week Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with Monaco. According to reports, Mourinho would become the highest-paid manager in the world if he moves to Monaco.
As You can see, the atmosphere in Monaco squad is almost perfect. The team is in good form and they are in series of 15 league matches without a defeat. In the last round Monaco won 2:0 at Auxerre with goals scored by Ferreira Carrasco.

Clermont is just one place above the drop zone. They are deeply involved into the relegation battle and every match is important for them. Clermont form could be described as “not bad”, they are unbeaten on the last four occasions. But something else is a problem for this match – some important players are sidelined. The winger Pierrick Capelle saw red card against Le Havre last weekend and now is suspended. The central defender Cedric Avinel is banned as well. Five more players are struggling with injuries – Jacques Salze, Cedric Bockhorni, Mehdi Jeannin, Romain Armand and Emmanuel Imorou. They are all rated as doubtful.
Monaco won the reverse fixture in November with 1:0 (26.11.2012). I expect to win again, this time at home.
