Nantes – Dijon 22.10.2012
Nantes is currently sixth with 16 points from 10 games. The coach Michel Der Zakarian was very angry after the last round’s defeat from Gazelec Ajaccio.
He told the press that his team played without passion and was defensively poor. I am sure he gave a lesson to his players and that is why I am expecting them to give the maximum on this match.
Dijon is one place above Nantes, with one point more. They have no victory in the last four rounds, but three draws and only one defeat proved they are not an easy opponent.
I expect an efficient match at Stade de la Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau. The hosts are in series of two matches that ended with lot of goals. I already wrote they lost in the previous round from Gazelec Ajaccio. The result was 3:1. Before that Nantes won 4:0 against Lens. However, the key reason for my pick is connect with the absentees. Nantes will be without central defender Gabriel Cichero. The Venezuelan international is suspended and this is a big problem for Nantes defense. Additionally, the midfielder Lucas Deaux is also suspended, while few more players are rated as doubtful – Serge Gakpe, Issa Cissokho, Chaker Alhadhur and Fabrice Pancrate. The situation in Dijon squad is even more complicated. Both central defenders William Remy and Ousseynou Cisse are suspended, just as the midfielder Florent Mollet. Gregory Thil, Julio Tavares and Brice Jovial remain sidelined due to various injuries.
Considering the fact both teams will be handicapped in the defense, I expect at least three goals on this match.
