Napoli and Inter take on each other in Serie A derby.
Partenopei still believe that they can win Scudetto this season, while Nerazzurri are eyeing a top-three finish, meaning that we are about to see a lively contest in Naples.
Napoli chiefs have reinforced the squad during the summer and the team have been producing very good displays this season. However, due to a lack of fortune, Partenopei failed to reach last 16 round of the Champions League and following a few bad results in Serie A, the team dropped to third place in the standings. Ahead of the clash against Inter, Napoli sit in third place in the table and they will be looking to return to winning ways in the national championship after dropping a two-goal advantage in their last fixture against Udinese (3-3). Rafa Benitez knows Inter very well as he used to be in charge of the Giuseppe Meazza outfit and I believe that the hosts led by brilliant striker Gonzalo Higuain are likely to net at least one goal on Sunday night. In their previous two games at Stadio San Paolo Partenopei have scored five goals and they are likely to continue their goal-scoring run against Inter.
Match: Napoli – Inter 20.45h
League: Serie A
Our prediction: Both team to score Odds: 1.70
Given that Inter chiefs have not made too many changes to the squad, Nerazzurri have been playing above expectations in the new Serie A campaign. The Giuseppe Meazza outfit are on a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions and it has to be noted that Inter have yet to suffer a defeat on the road this term. At the weekend Nerazzurri played out a 3-3 draw with Parma, with Rodrigo Palacio scoring a brace and he will be looking to continue his goal-scoring run against Napoli at Stadio San Paolo. The Argentine striker has netted nine goals so far, but his teammate Diego Milito, who has been struggling to recover from his injury has made just three appearances in Serie A this season. Considering that Inter have scored at least one goal in previous nine games in all competitions, there is every chance the visitors will find the net in the derby against Napoli. When the two teams met at Stadio San Paolo last season, the Neapolitans recorded a 3-1 victory.
