ND Gorica – Maribor 14.07.2012

This is first round in Slovenia prva liga .

Match will be played in Gorica so Gorica will have more fans on stadium but i dont expect manny people on the stands because its summer and manny people are on vecations last year was only 500 people on this match so i expect same number or even less. Gorica have big problems in club couple of weeks ago they lost 8 players(Goran Galesic, William Franklin Vicente, Aris Zarifovic, Boris Mijatovic, Dalibor Stojanovic, Andrej Komac, Rok Buzeti, Nebojsa Kovacevic and Danjel Rakuscek… some key players)and than replaced them with young players who played last year youth league (u-18). They lost also their bigest sponzor HIT who were main sponzor for long time . They fired their sports director because of finacial problems so they dont have sports director in club . Gorica will try this year to remain in league but with this young inexperienced squad will be very hard task. They played 5 frinedlys in preparations (3 lost ,2 draw) and teams were not so strong in preparations.So we have here team who will try to remain in the league and on the other side team who will be main competitor for champion.

Maribor is the biggest club in Slovenia they dont have any problems.They have great team for Slovenian conditions. They have same team like last year and with that team they won Leagou ,CUP and 1 week ago Super Cup. This year they have big ambitions in Europe. With that squad they had last year 20 points advantage against 2nd Olimpija and 32 against 5th Gorica who have this year very young and inexperienced team with big finacial troubles. Maribor had realy good preparations they played few tough friendlys and get good results.They played 4 days ago against Poland champion Slask Wroclaw and won 1-0 They rise their form from match to match they played 1 week ago and won Super cup against Olimpija (2-1) who will be only real contender for cahampion.We have here to diferent scenarios for this season one team who will fight to stay in league and team who will fight for champion.If this match will be played in Maribor it would be odd around 1,15 or 1,20 but because its in Gorica we have good odd on Marbor who i think is capable to win this match with at least 2 goals diference no matter they are away from home.Maribor will be without (Ibraimi suspended )but they had good replacements in Mezga,Beric and Rep. I expect Maribor will continue to rise their form and will start season strong with win.
