Newcastle Utd – Chelsea 02.11.2013
Newcastle and Chelsea meet in the weekend’s early kickoff with both teams coming into the game looking to improve their league position; Chelsea could go top while Newcastle could move into the top half of the table. Newcastle have endured a turbulent few days after suffering defeat to local rivals Sunderland and being dumped out of the League Cup by Manchester City.
Newcastle will again be without injured central defender Steven Taylor, while captain Fabricio Coloccini is unlikely to play after a groin problem. Paul Dummett is unavailable because of a hamstring problem.
Chelsea reported no fresh injury problems after their League Cup win over Arsenal. Jose Mourinho is likely to rotate his squad again after giving several fringe players their chance in that midweek match.
Newcastle have lost three of their last five Premier League matches (W1, D1, L3). Only bottom two Crystal Palace and Sunderland have conceded more goals than Newcastle’s 16 in this season’s Premier League. The Magpies have only won one of their four home games in this Premier League season.

Chelsea are aiming for a fourth consecutive league victory, and a seventh win in a row in all competitions. The Blues have the best home record in the Premier League but are ranked 13th in the away form table, having won just one of their four away matches so far. Chelsea have not conceded more than one goal in any league game this season.
Chelsea seems to be right on track latley with their results in all competitions. Newcastle ran out of gas and doing poor. With Arsenal – L’pool match same day Chelsea needs to take value 3 points here – no slip up allowed. 1.65 Tempo odd’s are just right but not overwhelming. I will risk my mid stake on Chelsea.
