Norrkoping – AIK Solna 30.05.2013

Norrkoping are currently on the 8th position with 14 points. I believe the fans expectations were bigger, but there is time for improving.

The current form is very inconsistent, Norrkoping have one win, one draw and one defeat in the last three rounds. However, something else is important for my pick – the last home matches were efficient. A total of 17 goals were scored on the last four home games of Norrkoping, which means an average of more then four goals per game.

Four players are struggling with injuries in Norrkoping squad. The coach Janne Andersson will definitely miss Imad Khalili, James Frempong, Alexander Fransson and Bobbie Friberg da Cruz, while Nikola Tkalcic is doubtful.

AIK Solna started the new season bad. At the moment they are closer to the bottom then to the top of the table, one point behind Norrkoping. Their actual form is also inconsistent, one win, one draw and one defeat in the last three matches. However, the last away match was efficient as AIK managed to win 3:2 against Osters. Three goals were scored by three different players – Nabil Bahoui, Martin Lorentzson and Kennedy Igboananike. For this match AIK have two injured players – Niklas Backman is definitely sidelined, while Henok Goitom is rated as doubtful.

At this point I will mention that both mutual games played last season have finished with Over 2.5 goals.

I expect an open and efficient match at Idrottspark. AIK will go for three points, even they play away from home. Their ambitions are connect with the top and I am sure the coach Andreas Alm will ask offensive from his players. Norrkoping, meanwhile, play at home and have to accept such open approach. Both teams have good strikers. Norrkoping attack will be leaded by Gunnar Heidar Thorwaldsson who scored six goals, while AIK have Kennedy Igboananike with five goals so far. That is why I am expecting at least three goals at Idrottspark.
