Norwich – Man Utd 28.12.2013

Utd are looking good for overs on the road so hopefully this should be another very entertaining game.

Norwich maybe up to 14th but i still say this is one of the sides thats going to be scrapping to stay in the epl this year. To be fair just like the race for the title at the top- the fight to stay up is wide open too and any one of maybe 10 teams could be playing championship football next season.  I do like their attacking options, in Hooper, Van Volf and Elmander, Redmond, Hoolahan and Snodgrass, there is plenty of nice footballers and strikers that can finish. Their main problem is at the back. 31 goals lost its one of the worst records in the league.  Norwich also lose heavily against the top sides. 7 at City, 5 at Liverpool, 4 at Arsenal and 3 at home to Chelsea. Their defence really struggles with the kind of quality these teams can call on.

Moyes deserves a lot of credit for the way hes hanging in there despite a dreadful start to life at Utd. I think everyone now accepts he should never have been in the running for the job but as the pundits keep telling us- anyone following sir Alex was in for a tough time of it.
3 wins on the spin keeps Utd in touch with the leaders and with such an open championship its far from over. I do think if they keep picking Jonny Evans it probably will be though- he was very poor against Hull once again.  22 goals lost for Utd its way too high. I cant say i think much of the goalkeeper and the 2 full backs are always getting caught out. They always look nervous on cross balls too as though no one really takes control of the situation.
Their attack is doing just fine without Van Persie right enough. Rooney is on terrific form at the moment and the lad Januzaj has fitted into the team in the same way Ryan Giggs did at that age. 7 times this season they have scored 2 or more goals in an away game.

I expect an open game here. As i said Norwich defence has really struggled against the top sides but with the attacking players the home side have to pick from i think they can test a shaky Utd defence. For this game i belive the best bet is on goals but United is still a big favorite.
