Porto – PSG 03.10.2012

Despite the number of high-profile ties scheduled for Wednesday, I am pretty sure this will prove to be the most exciting match of them all. With two attack-minded sides set to face each other, we could see goals galore at Estadio do Dragao.

Many football pundits believed Porto would struggle to compensate for the departures of Hulk and Alvaro Pereira, but the Dragons are once again proving they can cope with just about anything thrown at them. Even without the Brazilian, the Portuguese giants again have a formidable attacking trio of James Rodriguez, Sebastian Varela and Jackson Martinez, while the midfield trio of Joao Moutinho, Lucho Gonzalez and Steven Defour is nothing less impressive. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that Porto have eased off to a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb, while winning most of their league games as well. The hosts are now expected to go all guns blazing at their opponents, without worrying too much about their own goal.

After bagging 7 of those is his first 6 league games, the Swede can be trusted to score against Porto as well, while Javier Pastore, Jeremy Menez and Ezequiel Lavezzi will be looking to pitch in as well. The back line will be weakened by the absence of Thiago Motta and Diego Lugano.

But who needs defence when you have such an amazing attack, we will see at least two goals.
