Sampdoria – Juventus 24.08.2013

This weekend starts Italian league A and apparently Juventus is again a prime candidate for the title.

Sapmpdoria meets Juventus last year in last round when they won by 3:2 and they was only team that made 2 victories against champ. This season Sampdoria has a pretty much changed team compared to last year. Namely, young striker Icardi and midfielder oly left the club this year. They were the best players last year and that this is additional problem for Sampdoria. Besides those two player, Romero (goalkeeper), Munari, also left the club. Sampdoria lost Estigarribia who’s load has expired and he was standard in the first team of Sampdoria last year. Nevertheless, they managed to buy two defenders; Salamon from Milan and Ragini. Besides them they hired Gabbiadini from Juventus, Wszolek and Eram. It is true that Sampdoria did not make good changes because the reinforcement’s such as Ertam and Gabiadini are not of sufficient quality. On 5 preparatory matches, Sampdoria scored 19 goals what is very good.

In new season Juventus enters stronger than last year and they good chances to defend title. They also played in final of Super Cup against Lazio and won by 4-0. But, Marchisio injured in that game. Juventus went back to the old way of fame and there are far better and far the most expensive team to any team in the league. Despite last year’s dominance Juventus hired many quality players. First of all, last year did not work out all too well in attack and because of that Tevez came from Manchester City and Llorente from Athletic Bilbao. Juventus have long failed to win Samdoria especially concerning both away games. For a long time Juventus have had such a quality and powerful team and I expect victory in the first round. Especially because Sampdoria lost two the best players and hardly they can score a goal in this game.
