Sevilla – Celta Vigo 04.03.2013

Sevilla is currently on 12th position and it seems their European hopes are dead.

They failed to reach Copa del Rey final after were eliminated by Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. The coach Unai Emeri has to shift the focus to the league campaign, where they are no less than eight points behind European places. However, a victory over relegation candidate Celta Vigo would certainly be a step in the right direction.

Emeri has three sidelined players for this match – Piotr Trochowski, Diego Perotti and Jose Campagna. Gary Medel and Geoffrey Kondogbia were sent off against Atletico Madrid, but can play in Primera. Finally, Fernando Navarro returns from suspension. Sevilla played very efficient matches in the last period. The last four matches finished with Over 2.5 goals, three of them with Over 3.5 goals.

Celta is currently into the relegation zone, third from the bottom. They are two points behind Zaragoza, three behind Granada. A victory on this match will see them out of the last three. There are some positive signs since Paco Herrera was sacked and Abel Resino was brought to replace him. Celta managed to beat Granada in the last round to improve the atmosphere and to return the lost confidence.Celta also played efficient matches in the last two rounds. They won 2:1 against Granada, but lost 3:1 from Getafe.I expect an efficient match at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
