Smederevo – Partizan Belgrade 22.05.2013

Boosted by a 1:0 victory in the derby match against Crvena Zvezda, Partizan are eager to continue their winning run in Smederevo and clinch sixth consecutive title in the Serbian Super Liga. Smederevo are already relegated, but Oklopnici will be very motivated to show what they got against the Serbian giants.

After they enjoyed several years in the Serbian top flight, from the next season Smederevo will play in Prva Liga Srbije. Smederevo sold a lot of key players before the start of the campaign and it is no surprise that Oklopnici are relegated to the second division. Smederevo are currently rock bottom side in the standings, with the team picking up no more then 15 points in 28 fixtures. Nonetheless, in the last few rounds Ljubomir Ristovskiˈs team have produced some very good showings, having defeated the likes of BSK Borča and Jagodina, who clinched the title in the Serbian Cup. Smederevo have nothing to lose against Partizan Belgrade, who are likely to win yet another league title, therefore, we should expect very interesting clash with quite a few goals scored. Taking everything into account, I believe that there is big value in betting on over 3 goals in this match, but I am not weather hosts are capable of finding the opponentsˈ net.

Thanks to a stunning late free kick from Milos Jojic, Partizan won the Derby against bitter city rivals Crvena Zvezda, meaning that Crno-Beli are now on a verge of clinching sixth straight Serbian Super Liga title. Partizan did not produced a brilliant display, but they gained vital three points at home soil. The Derby was very tensed as always and more than 90 fans were arrested following riots before the match, but, luckily there were not any fatal cases. In case of winning against already relegated Smederevo side, Partizan would lift the trophy and I believe that Vuk Rasovicˈs men should not have a difficult task against the worst side in the competition. Partizan have not scored more then 3 goals in any of last 11 encounters in the league, but the team have been pretty solid at the back. I think that Crno-beli are likely to score 2 or 3 goals against Smederevo, which should be enough for the team to clinch yet another Serbian Super Liga title.
