Stabaek – Rosenborg 03.09.2012

Rosenborg is big favorite against bottom placed Stabaek. Still, I decide to take Over 2.5 goals on this match.

I see three reasons for my pick. Here are they:

The first reason is connect with Stabaek. They have scored at least one goal on 9 of the last 10 matches in Tippeligaen. At the same time all 10 matches have ended with Over 2.5 goals.
Rosenborg is the second reason for my pick. They are involved into the championship battle and they need the victory here. At the moment Rosenborg is four points behind the leader Molde. It is important to be mentioned that two of the last three Rosenborg matches in the domestic championship ended with Over 2.5 goals.

At the midweek Rosenborg managed to win 2:1 against Polish side Legia Warszawa in UEFA Europe League qualifiers. The victory was enough for progress and Rosenborg will continue the competition in the group stage. I am sure the coach Jan Jonsson and the players are satisfied, just as the fans. For this match Jonsson has almost all players available with Steffen Iversen as only injury doubt.
The last reason for my pick is connect with the tradition. Stabaek and Rosenborg played efficiently in the last five mutual games. On every match there were goals from both sides and all five matches finished with Over 2.5 goals.

I expect another efficient match.
