Tottanham – Lyon 14.02.2013
This is one of the most interesting matches in first knock-out stage of UEFA Europe League.
Tottenham have won UEFA Cup twice – in 1972 and 1984. They are in good form at the moment, winning the last two matches in the Premier League. The manager Andre Villas-Boas has Younes Kaboul, Jermain Defoe and Sandro out injured. Most probably he will rotate some players for this match, including the former Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. It is expected Brad Friedel to start the match. However, it is all from tactical reasons as Tottenham have no domestic job this weekend.

Lyon is good and experienced team. They were the most successful team in the group stage, winning 16 out of a possible 18 points in the group I, more than any other team. The coach Remi Garde is optimist about the progress, but it is true that his team is not in perfect form. Lyon have suffered two defeats in the last two rounds in France League One.
I think Tottenham will win the first leg. They have the home advantage and they are in better form at the moment. Gareth Bale is terrific at the moment, he scored all three goals in the last two matches for the Spurs. He is simply, unstoppable. I believe he will make the difference on this match.
