This match is not only a London Derby between city rivals Tottenham and Chelsea, it is a facing between two great coaches Andre Villas-Boas (who was the Chelsea coach) and Jose Mourinho. Villas-Boas had a short stint as head coach of the British Virgin Islands national team at the age of 21, before he moved on to a career as an assistant coach at Porto under Jose Mourinho. As Mourinho moved clubs to Chelsea and Inter, Villas-Boas followed him. However, Villas-Boas has revealed that he moved out from the shadow of Jose Mourinho because ‘The Special One’ did not “feel the need to have someone next to him” to achieve success. Anyway, both coaches have a big respect to each other.

Tottenham came in this match after impressive month and a half. They have only one defeat in the nine played matches in three fronts – Premier League, UEFA Europa League and in the League Cup. In the Premier League they have four victories and one defeat against the leader Arsenal. Tottenham have the same points as Arsenal, but because of the worse goal difference they are on the second position. They also won a convincing 4:0 against Aston Villa in the League Cup (24.09) and 3:0 against Tromso in UEFA Europa League. It is also impressive their defense form. They have conceded only one goal (from Arsenal) in their nine fixtures. Their league matches were with low efficiency, with an average one goal per match.

Chelsea are back on the wining paths on the last two matches. They won against Swindon in the Cup match and against Fulham in the league match, with same results 2:0. Before that, Chelsea had three unsuccessful matches – defeats from Basel in the Champions League, from Everton in the Premier League and from Bayern Munich in the Super Cup. It was a lot of pressure on the players and Mourinho from fans after these three matches. Now the positive atmosphere in the squad is back. Chelsea are on the fourth position, only two points behind Tottenham. They have similar goal difference (one goal more scored and one goal more conceded).

Tottenham’ fans wait to home victory for three season. In the last season Chelsea won 4:2 at White Hart Lane, but this season Tottenham have the better team, so I am sure Chelsea players will have a hard job at White Hart Lane. I expect both team to score in this match.
