Valerenga – Rosenborg 25.05.2013

Valerenga did not start the season as the fans were expecting.

At the moment they are in the second part of the table, on 11th place with 13 points. Their actual form is also questionable, they have one win, one draw and two defeats in the last four matches.

Rosenborg, meanwhile, are on the second position on the table. They are also in good form with three wins and one draw in the last four rounds. Rosenborg had an excellent chance to beat Molde on Monday as the guests had one player sent off, but the final result was a goalless draw.

Nicki Bille Nielsen is in excellent form, he scored four goals on the last three matches. I believe he will continue his scoring show. He and Tarik Elyounoussi created a strong partnership in the attack and together have scored 11 goals so far.

So, the actual form is on Rosenborg side. The quality too. But there is more, Valerenga coach Kjetil Andre Rekdal has number of injured players. Sidoine Oussou is definitely out, but five more players are rated as doubtful: Mohammed Fellah, Fengor Ogude, Jan Gunnar Solli, Joachim Thomassen and Bojan Zajic. None of them played against Sarpsborg on Tuesday.

At the end I will mention that Rosenborg have a good record in the matches against Valerenga. They have six victories in the last nine mutual games, with Valerenga winning just once during the same period. I expect another win for Rosenborg.
