Besiktas – Maccabi Haifa 22.07.2012

Maccabi Haifa is looking ahead to the new season after missing every single trophy in the previous one.

Club legend Reuven Atar was appointed as head coach and a special emulation was noted, especially among their fans. They have some interesting players in the squad, like talented Golasa or Cohen and Amasha and they are a deadly team on counters, after what was already noticed in the past Europa league season. They started the preparations with a 1-0 win against Pribram and a 1-2 loss against Botev Plovdiv.

Besiktas is also a team in reconstruction, getting rid of many overpaid “stars” and trying to focus on local talents. They have already played against Austria Klagenfurt this summer, winning 4-2 and now they are already in their second preparation camp, where they have scheduled 2 friendly games. They’ve lost against Manchester City (0-2) but their performance was a good one, the final result not being eloquent for what happened on the pitch.

These teams are both in reconstruction but we should still have a pleasant game. Both are attacking minded sides and their defenses are quite shaky. Since this is a friendly game, I believe the players won’t risk any injuries and they will try to put in practice what was learned during their long training sessions. I believe there are chances to see some goals and a bet on over 2,5 goals can be tried.
