Valenciennes – PSG 11.12.2012

Sometimes the odds for a certain match seem terribly wrong, this is one pure example of it, at least for me. I would expect maxiumum of 1.75 for guests side here, but odds with number 2 and little above look really good investment.

Valenciennes look good as they are placed 5th in Ligue 1. This is surely because of their very good home performance this seasson. They haven’t lost yet and play really good football at their Stade du Hainaut. In their last match at Nancy they draw, but the only goal scored for the away side was own goal of Haidara, so Valenciennes couldn’t score in 90 minutes of football with only 1 shot on goal from 5 attempts. I couldn’t say that this gives me enough belief of a danger team at the moment. Important defender brazilian international Gil will miss out this match due injury with midfielder  Camara sitting on his long term pause. Since end of 2010, this team has 5 straight losses from the capital club with negative with 7:14 goal difference.

PSG looks good again since their dissapointing performance against Nice, they beated FC Porto in Champions League clash and trashed Evian TG before 2 days in Ligue 1 with Ibrahimovic scoring again among Lavezzi scoring his first goal with welcomed back players Gameiro and Motta. This is good news for coach Carlo Ancelotti as his struggled trying to rotate his side, since PSG this seasson is playing a lot of games, and he did not have so much quality and in form men to count on. Now his attacking options look good, with amazing swedish Ibrahimovic. Midfielder Blaise Matuidi is suspended but Javier Pastore will replace without any problems there.
With Marseille dropping points to Lorient, PSG has chance to get away from position 2/3 and get more closer to Lyon (who won again in their last match) since the gap is 5 points, before the winter brake. The moment looks good for away side here.
