Manchester City vs Chelsea 10.02

Manchester City will be brimming with confidence after getting back to winning ways and on top of the league when they host Chelsea FC at the Etihad on Sunday. However, they will be facing a Chelsea side looking to gain an edge in the battle for fourth with Manchester United and Arsenal. Something will have to give with these three crucial points are up for contention.

Manchester City have won four of their last five games, with a loss away to Newcastle their only blip. The run includes big wins over Arsenal and high flying Wolves as they look to steal a march in the title race. They will look to continue such form to put pressure on Liverpool, who have a game in hand. They will be looking to avenge the reverse fixture loss, and prevent Chelsea doing the double over them for the eleventh time in the premier league.

Chelsea suffered a stunning 4-0 loss to Bournemouth but recovered with a brilliant 5-0 win over Huddersfield. However, they have been shaky in big games this season. They have lost the last four games against the big four sides, and are winless in six. Still, Chelsea have a great record against Manchester City, and have won three of their last five league games while limiting them to just four goals.
Manchester City’s attack is a big part of why they lead the log. Striker Sergio Aguero’s hat trick against Arsenal made it a run of 14 games in which Manchester City have scored more than twice. In this time, they have won 13 games and lost only once. Chelsea have not found joy at the Etihad, losing six times and winning only twice.

Manchester City vs Chelsea Betting tip

Chelsea will be looking to new signing Gonzalo Higuain, who bagged a brace in their win. Sergio Aguero leads City’s dynamic attack, and could link up well with a returning Kevin De Bruyne, who was rested in midweek. Chelsea have scored a large number of their goals in the last 15 minutes of matches, and could use Eden Hazard to grab a late winner. The Belgian has been involved in five goals in five games against the Citizens, assisting twice at Stamford Bridge earlier this season.

Chelsea’s away form in the league is dismal, with three wins and four defeats in 7 games. They have also scored and conceded seven goals in the last five games, as compared to City’s 12 to 3. It will be difficult for the visitors to pull off an away win, but they certainly have the players for the result.
