Manchester City vs Wolverhampton

After a great performance of both these clubs this week, attention now shifts to their Premier League clash at Etihad Stadium.

In the match that is set for Monday, 14th at 8 pm GMT, Manchester City will be looking forward to maintaining their score mood after enjoying a great win of 9-0 over Burton on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup.

For Manchester City, their past two performances including a superb 7-0 win against Rotherham sums up their total goals scored to 16 in just two games.

Wolves are not ready to back down yet after dumping Liverpool out of the FA Cup in three years. The Monday clash comes as a big test to them but they still got plenty of time to prepare.

Manchester City will be more focused on bridging the gap created by premier league leaders Liverpool. Compared to last season, Pep Guardiola’s men have indeed faced stiffer competition this time around.

Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Tip Both team to score

Despite their December meltdown, Manchester City has still managed to win 10 of the 13 games in the last premier league. This makes them only four points away from Liverpool. Man City looks formidable for the Monday clash considering that some of their key players missed their match against Burton.

Some of their key players such as Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling who missed the Carabao Cup clash are more likely to be featured in the Monday match.

Wolves, on the other hand, have proved to be no pushovers. Beating Liverpool’s side in the FA Cup was no mean feat for them. For the record, they boast of 4 wins in their last 7 EPL matches. Their current standing in the premier league tables is position 9. They also look capable and formidable to qualify for spot 7 in the Europa League.

Wolves reveal a positive trajectory with their impressive performances against big teams in the division. You just need to look at how they performed against Chelsea and Spurs in the recent past. They have also inched one point closer to Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United. Things could turn out to be tough for them on Monday, however.

Given the fact that they will be away, Man City could easily overwhelm them, however, we expect them to be also on the score sheet. Both teams have met nine times in the EPL. Man City won 5 of the matches, Wolves won two and both sides have shared two draws.
